Description:
In July 2013, 48 randomly selected extension agents participated in a phone survey about their partnership with their Program Development Committee.

While most agents agreed that PDCs are important, they also indicated a need for resources and skill building in working with their PDC. As a follow up to the survey a task force has been working to address the barriers identified in the survey.

There will be five workshops held across the state in April 2015 to introduce resources and guide agents in strengthening their ability to:
  • Recruit PDC Volunteers
  • Orient PDC Members
  • Hold Effective Meetings
  • Increase Facilitation Skills
  • Assess Community Needs
  • Plan with a Pur
Target Audience:
Extension agents, local unit directors and area and state extension faculty
